Sofia studied Child & Adolescent Psychology (MSc) in Leiden University, the Netherlands; Applied Forensic Psychology (PostCert) in the University of, York, UK and Psychology (BSc) in the University of Athens, Greece.
She completed the advanced degree of Rational-Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and adolescents from the Hellenic Institute of RECBT, gaining experience in helping the youngsters who struggle with everyday difficulties (attention and concentration, time management, behavioral difficulties, depression, emotional disturbance and academic underachievement).
In addition to her clinical work Sofia has extensive experience in assessing children and adolescents with specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), as well as clinical disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Depression, Anxiety disorders and Eating Disorders).
Sofia has an interest in developing safe and supportive school communities and in her role as a European Union researcher she helped develop a curriculum for educators on how to reduce bullying in schools.
Since 2017, Sofia’s work has focused on the analysis of psychological assessments, in order to help children and adolescents reach their full potential and lead a mentally healthy lifestyle.Back to Team
