INDIVIDUALIZED EARLY INTERVENTION EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

The Developing Child Centre (TDCC) Early Intervention Educational Nursery program runs from 8.00am – 1pm. The curriculum will be based on the Early Years Foundation framework (UK) and will cater to children aged 2-8 years.

Teachers and therapists work together in order to deliver a structured learning environment helping unlock children’s potential.

There are 7 classrooms in total with a maximum of 10 students per class. Each classroom will be managed by a specialized teacher, one teaching assistant as well as two therapists who will work directly in the classroom for blocked periods of time.

Our multi-disciplinary therapists will work closely with the teachers and teaching assistants to ensure that every child learns, develops and continues to grow every day in order to successfully and steadily overcome every challenge.

The Developing Child Centre will provide a structured, total communication approach with the focus on language stimulation and functional communication for every child.

We pride ourselves in providing an individualized approach to meet your child’s additional needs.

Every child will have an educational assessment using the Early Years Foundation framework. These assessments will identify your child’s stage of development, so that we can produce an Individualized Education Plan that will focus on your child’s needs.

During the term your child will be observed weekly on the seven aspects of learning which will then provide evidence for your child’s termly progress meeting and end of term Report Card. These observations help us to identify the new objectives for the next term’s Individualized Education Plan.

If the child’s requirements are more complex and progress is an area of concern then TDCC will seek further advice that may include; multi-disciplinary assessments, Educational Psychology and/or individual therapy evaluations.
